mucus plug for three days now

I am two days overdue. The doctor examined me on Wednesday and since Thursday morning I've been losing my mucus plug. Is this normal? Does it mean I will go into labor soon? Wishful thinking, I guess.

Have you called your ob to let them know? I would if you haven't already.

Re: mucus plug for three days now

The doc gave me a list of reasons to call: leaking amniotic fluid, contractions 5 min apart for an hour, baby stops moving, water breaks. I figured I shouldn't call because he didn't say anything about the mucus plug. TMI: my mucus plug isn't bloody, it's just clear and sometimes yellow.

The way I see it, you're questioning it, so call. Better safe than sorry. Just my opinion.

Re: mucus plug for three days now

I lost my mucus plug two weeks before I had DS.

I would relax, read a good book and get some rest....your baby will come soon enough! Losing your plug certainly is a GOOD sign if any!!!!

Good luck!
