My hips...

...are killing me! Just about everyday during the afternoon/evening (esp.) I have terrible joint pain in my hips. I'm 25 weeks and this has been going on since about 12 weeks. Is this that relaxogen (or however it's spelled)? Anyone else have sore hips? I never had this problem before a few weeks ago...

Re: My hips...

I don't know what it is, but I'd like to see what other mommies write in. I'm having the same thing, and sometimes it gets so bad I feel like my hip is popping out of the joint. Maybe it's because of your pelvic bone stretching?? I don't know but it hurts!!!!

Re: My hips...

Goodness, I am experiencing the same thing (15 weeks)...you're right it does feel like they are popping and sore. I just try to shift weight and rest to take the pressure off. I was attributing mine to sciatic pain? but maybe that is not it. i have an appointment tomorrow and will definately ask.

Re: My hips...

I had this with my first pregnancy but I didn't start getting the hip pain and popping until the 3rd trimester. With this one, at 16 wks today, I have been having some hip problems already for a few weeks. I have been told it's due to the relaxant your body releases when you are pregnant to loosen the bones to allow the baby to fit through the canal at delivery time. I hated it the first time around and I don't suspect I'll like it much better this time! I noticed it the most when I was in bed and I would shift my weight to turn on my back and then to the other size. Snap, pop!!! Owwwww.

Re: My hips...

My wife asked the doctor about this around 24 weeks. He said it is called "being pregnant." I think he told her also it is the pelvis spreading getting ready for birth.
