This will probably sound dumb...but yesterday my eyes hurt a lot - I figured it ust be eye fatigue from being on the computer (although this never hapens to me). I woke up this morning and they still hurt even after a good night's rest - and I slept for like 12 hrs! They continue to hurt - kind of like at the sides of the eyes that are nearest to the nose. Not sure what the deal is.
Anyone else have this happen to them? Is it an eye change that is related to pregnancy? Its making it hard to get things done. All I want is to lay down and close my eyes - but then they still hurt even when I do that.
I'm not sure when your eyes can change, but my best friend had to go to the eye dr. twice the first year after she had her son because her eyes got so bad. She had the same "headaches" as you describe and couldn't see at night. Hope this helps!
I'm actually not having a headache. I did suffer from headaches almost every day for a few weeks in the first part of the 2nd trimester no matter what I did or didn't do. But those have lessened quite a bit. I did wake up this morning with the bridge of my nose hurting a little - so my sinuses hurt. I guess I just wouldn't catgorize this as a headache....but an eyeache. lol Kind of irritating.
I feel your pain. When my sinus are bothering me sometimes I rub and rub my tired hurting eyes - I think its sinus pressure around our eyes! And for some reason during pregnancy instead of sometimes feeling the pressure - our hurt instead??? I don't know - just guessing - but I understand what you are saying.
My eyes don't hurt, but I can't see very well in the last few weeks. I'm going to have to get an eye appointment and update the lenses in my glasses. I hadn't heard this was something that can happen to pregnant women, but it seems like maybe it is. Strange. I hope it doesn't continue - I can't really afford to keep putting new lenses in my glasses.
I think it is actually suggested not to update contacts and lenses during pg since your eyes will go back to normal after delivery. But then really...who can stand months of glasses or contacts that aren't working?
