| Pregnancy and Thyroid Scans?
I am posting this question for a friend of mine. She just found out she is pregnant. She would be about 4 weeks now. The problem is just 2 weeks ago she had a thyroid scan done. At the time they asked her if she was pregnant and not knowing she was, she said "no". Obviously this is not a concern as this is radiation. She would of "just" been pregnant at the time, like perhaps about a week or two after conception. Can anyone shed some light on this? Anyone ever had this happen and what are the risks, chances etc.. of birth defects?
