I think this was brought up by someone else in another thread awhile back, but I couldn't find it, so I thought I'd ask again.... anyone know if there is any truth to a fast heartbeat tending to be "girl" and a slower heartbeat tends to be a "boy"???? I'm 17 weeks, and my doctor counted my baby's heartbeat to be around 156 my last visit. Is that considered high??? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
you shouldn't feel silly asking. i know i wondered the same thing with my first just like almost all of us do.
i am having a girl and her heartbeat is in the 150's.
old wives tales are harmless and fun.
I'm having a boy and his heartbeat as been between 140 and 150. Unless the lil bogger is moving around than his heartbeat is up in the 170s. I tell ya that boy can move. And none the less that all comes from dh's side of the family. But it really isn't true for everyone. A friend of mine her girls had high heartbeats and her son had a low one, but I think it truly depends on the person. I have done some reading up on it, and they say it all depends on the person, when they take the heart beat and what the baby is doing.
