Re: raspberry leaf tea

You know weepy that is something that I have wondered too. I have seen it all over the place and have heard it from a couple people but have never gotten the details. It truly would be interesting to find out.

Re: raspberry leaf tea

A very close friend of mine who just had a baby a few days ago, drank some kind of tea for 3 days before she went into labor. Her mother had told her about it, and she was ready to get that little one out of her, so she tried it. I don't know if it's coincidence, but she now says she's going to do it with every baby she has. Only problem is, I didn't get the name of the tea But I will be sure and do that next time I talk to her.

Re: raspberry leaf tea

I've been drinking a tea made by Traditional Medicinals called Pregnancy Tea. It's suppose to support a healthy pregnancy. It's suppose to help tone the uterine muscles, provide nourishment and prepare the womb for childbirth.

It has the following ingredients:

Organic raspberry leaf 350 mg, strawberry leaf 350 mg, organic nettle herb 175 mg. Proprietary blend: organic spearmint leaf, organic bitter fennel fruit, organic rose hip, organic alfalfa leaf, organic lemon verbena leaf.

I've never heard any negativity regarding the tea, but never heard anyone rave about it. So I dunno---I suppose everybit helps. I guess if it helps tone the uterus---you can't lose. Plus, it tastes good! I drink at least once a day and it hasn't bothered me at all.

Re: raspberry leaf tea

I drank red rasberry leaf tea while pregnant. I started at 38 weeks and went into labor by 39 weeks. Careful, I walked into the hospital already dialated to a 6. Another thing that brought on my labor was reflexology. I went to the dr, who told me I was at a 2, then went and had a pedicure and jumped to a 6 overnight. Had my son May 13, he was due May 19. He was my first child. I didnt feel the labor either.

Re: raspberry leaf tea

I drank it in my first pregnancy. I started a little late though so I don't think it had time to work. Some books say not to take it because it can act as a natural inducer and kick start you into full blown labour fast and cause your uterus to convulse. That said, I started taking it when I was almost 41 weeks and I drank 3 cups a day. I was induced 5 days later so I don't know if it actually works or if I just didn't give it enough time!

Re: raspberry leaf tea

I found some tea today that has raspberry leaf in it so I'm going to try it and see what if I can get any outcome. I'm also going to end up ordering some offline I think next week if I dont see any results from this. If it works I will be for sure to let you know.
