I would like to hear from anyone who has or will take Zoloft during the 3rd trimester or after during breastfeeding. I'm going to be discussing it with my doctor today, but what I 've read on the internet scares me. The baby could develop respiratory problems, etc. If you have anything to share, I'd appreciate it! Thanks.
I would love to hear about this topic also.I am currently 12weeks taking 50 mg of Zoloft.I don't really want to quit taking it.My doctor said I could take it the whole time but I am scared too cause you never know. I am not sure about the breastfeeding, I plan to up my zoloft after delivery and bottlefeed just to be safe!Good luck!
I'm starting it today. The doctor assured me it's safe and he's delivered
babies whose mothers were on it and said they were fine. He said I can breastfeed, too. As always, seek advice from your doctor as well. Take Care.
Hi ladies. I just thought I would tell you both that I took Zoloft with my first pregnancy, and my ob said it was fine, and I had a perfectly healthy baby, who is now almost 3 years old, and runs non-stop..lol. And then I have an 8 month old DS who I took Paxil with through my whole pregnancy, and he is fine as well. I know there have been warnings lately about Paxil use during pregnancy, but at the time, my ob told me it was safe, and he again is perfectly normal and healthy.
