Re: Blood Pressure

Mine tends to run around that too.
I would say its ok, but mine has always been good to low. They have never had a problem with it.

Re: Blood Pressure

That is below normal but not low enough to be really concerned about. Mine runs low too. One thing I would watch for is that if my bp drops even lower than usual I get dizzy and sometimes faint. Alot of women get dizzy more frequently during pregnancy and with your low bp I would be cautious. Just pay a little extra attention to what your body is telling you. But don't worry.

Re: Blood Pressure

It is a little low, but low is good, for the most part. As MrsB said, if it drops lower still, you might get dizzy, but eating something salty usually does the trick for me. Or coffee, though you're better off with salt during pregnancy.

Re: Blood Pressure

Oh, and just FYI, I think the worry-about-it-point is around 80-50.

I would KILL to have numbers like yours!! LOL There is nothing wrong with those numbers. They are a normal low range. Better than being high!!!

Re: Blood Pressure

Me, too, I would love to have a number like that. I went to a doctor (non-OB) yesterday for a checkup and my BP was 139/83. Sigh.

For past 2 years it's been about 125-135/75-85 -- starting to get borderline high, which runs in the family.

I'm sure this does not bode well for the next 9 months!

Re: Blood Pressure

I always run low numbers as well, pregnant or not pregnant. My last one was 106/54, I always ask my doc if that's normal, and I've always been told it's fine, especially since I normally run low anyways. I would'nt worry too much. Fortunately, I don't feel any lightheadedness, so my numbers are good for me. Take care.

Xin:

My numbers run the same. I have always been borderline high, which is probably why I got preeclampsia with my first pregnancy. I'm sure we will be together down the road with PIH , but I hope not!! I am not looking forward to THAT!! But hey, it's early yet and let's not worry!!
