Very light spotting in the 8th week

For a week or so I have been seeing a few specs of pink/red blood on my underwear. They are really tiny. I told my doctor about them but he waved me off. I wonder what can cause this spotting and can be it a sign of an upcoming problem? Thank you.

Re: Very light spotting in the 8th week

I would relax and get some rest, unless your spotting has alot of cramping(painful) and there is ALOT of bright red blood I would just say its going to be one of those things. Sadly at this point in pregnancy if you are going to miscarry you are going to there is nothing you can do about it. But since you said its specs I wouldnt be to concerned especially if your doc isnt. But if your really worrried call him again and talk with him about it or go to someone else. There are alot of women who just spot during their pregnancy and go on to have wonderful pregnancys and there are women who spot and it gets worse.
Good luck

Good luck. I had some teeny brownish and pinkish spotting around weeks 10 - 12 and everything turned out okay. I'll think good thoughts for you.

Re: Very light spotting in the 8th week

That happened to me a few times in my second pregnancy. My doctor said that sometimes that can happen after intercourse or just the normal hormones acting up. I went on to deliver a two-week overdue baby boy of 9lbs. 7oz. So unless the bleeding seems like a period, I wouldn't worry over a little bit of discharge. Congratulations and best of luck!
