I have my first u/s appt. on Wendesday. My LMP was 2/21. Theorotically I am 49 days from my last period i.e 7 weeks today. Will I be able to hear the heart beat on Day 51 (Wednesday). The nurse wants me to go through an U/S as my progesterone level is lower than normal (16).

I am on progesterone suppositories now. Is it common for women to go through u/s so early in pregnancy? Is there something else I should expect?

On an ultrasound if they do it vaginally then you can hear it as early as 6 weeks. But as far as with a dopplar on the belly not until you are at least 11 weeks i believe. I heard mine with a dopplar for the first time at 13 weeks. I heard it for the very first time at 6 weeks with a vaginal ultrasound.

For mine......ultrasound at 8 weeks could hear the heartbeat

14 weeks with a doppler~

Well, I don't know if they could hear my heartbeats with the U/S, but I know first baby they could see it at 5 weeks I think? and second baby, saw it at 6 weeks, and heard second babys h/b with doppler h/b thing at 11 weeks.

I also had my LMP on 2/21, but the doctor thinks I had delayed implantation, so he has me at 10w5d.

I went in yesterday for my second visit. They normally do the doppler this visit, but the nurse said it would probably be difficult to hear this time, so she did another quicky u/s instead. (Which was fine by me!
