Membrane sweep
Just a quick question for you all today I had a membrane sweep which means I could go go into labour within the next 48 hours (fingers Crossed)

On your past experinces if you have had it done how successful was it?

I think it probably varies by person and whether or not that baby is ready to come. I was dilated 2cm 5 weeks before my due date. 2 weeks before, I was 3cm and he stripped my membranes....nothing. The week before, he did it again....nothing. I finally was induced on my due date cause I was almost 5cm and no labor.

I was 2 cm dialated when I went in for my 38 week ck up... that was on a monday and I had the baby on that friday... The few days before that I had the GROSSEST looking Snot that was a snot color coming out of me. It lasted forever... I ddin't realize the mucas plug was SOOO much... but it was never bloody so just bc you may have no bloody stuff doesn't mean it's not that... Just some info! bc I was like ok it's not bloody so what is this stuff!?!!? but it took mine 4 days to work!!! But I think it works!

My OB stripped my membranes "a little bit" last Thursday. I was dilated to 2cm or so. I just lost my plug today, and STILL don't feel any regularity to my contractions.

Make of it what you will!
