Blood clots?
I've been concerned about blood clots because I had a friend who died shortly after giving birth because of a blood clot. I've been on bedrest and I know both pregancy and bedrest increase your risk of blood clots. Is there anything I can do to prevent them?

Have you talked to your doctor about it?

Some people are just more prone to them, and as such, take coumadin or an aspirin as a blood thinner. Of course, this is in the non-pregnant population (but doesn't it seem like everyone else around you is pregnant, too???)

My mom had a blood clot in her leg before she was ever pregnant. She's never mentioned having to do anything special while pregnant because of it.
