I experienced all sorts of shooting, throbbing, and twinges of pain from 6 - 13 weeks. Lots from right above my pubic bone, and from where I imagine my ovaries are. Apparently this is the uterus stretching and growing.
Just all the "pieces and parts" inside the abdomen making way for baby...
For a few weeks I thought that maybe I was getting a hernia on my right side, near my ovary. Every time I coughed or laughed or sneezed it hurt a bunch. Then I read that it's just round ligament pain (the ligaments expanding) and then the next week I felt it on the other side, so I chalked it up to pregnancy.
I am 15 weeks and am having some pains and i assume that my doc will assume that it is that round ligament pain from the uterus as well. Though i don't know how to tell which pain is the "bad" pain. It even hurts when i sit down..like it pushes up on something and i feel a really sharp pain in my abdomen. I also had an abnormal pap the last time i was at the doc and he wants to give me (another) colposcopy. (second one..first while pregnant) He wants to check on my cervix to see if i have any bad spots. So do you guys think that this pain could have anything to do with my cervix???
