Re: TB Testing??

It is safe to have the normal TB test. I was tested at the beginning of my pregnancy and the dr said it was safe. However, my results were borderline and normally they would have done an x-ray, which is the best way to determine for sure if you have it but that is not safe until the last few weeks of pregnancy and still a little risky then. I'm going to wait until after the baby is here. Also, the test is okay but the dr said there isn't a lot of point in finding out for sure for me b/c the medication I would be given is not something that I would want to take while pregnant. Talk to your dr but mine said the test was ok. Good luck with your new job and your pregnancy.

Re: TB Testing??

Yes, ask your doctor, but my doc gave me permission to have the skin test.
