Headaches at 37 weeks?

Hi! The past week I have been having headaches, pretty regularly. This past weekend I had a headache that lasted from Friday night until Sunday afternoon. Anyone else had problems with headaches this late in pregnancy? Should I be worried. I am going to the doctor every week and blood pressure and urine is fine. Thanks!

Re: Headaches at 37 weeks?

Hey Greenfrog (love the screen name btw!!)
When I hit 35 weeks I started having major headaches that would last for days and I was worried that it was high blood pressure/pre-eclampsia so I went to see my doctor.

After a thorough exam he told me this was nothing to worry about and it is fairly common. I never really asked why it's fairly common, but he was a great OBGYN, so I really didn't think to question him. He gave me some Tylenol 3 for the headaches and assured me that it was safe for me to take them if needed.

Anyway- it might be a good idea to call your doctor and let them know about the headaches. They may want you to stop in for a quick check-up. If there is something that needs to be attended to, better sooner than later I always say!

Good Luck and let us know how you are feeling...

Re: Headaches at 37 weeks?

Thanks for the reply ozzybug! I go to the doc on Wednesday morning so I will bring it up. I was fine all day today, no headache. Wouldn't you know it? All weekend I have a headache and then the day I have to go back to work, no headache! lol. Pregnancy is so weird, but what a worthwhile trip! Thanks again

Re: Headaches at 37 weeks?

I'm 37 weeks as welll and I'm having loads of headaches but I have 2 boys already who seem to be fighting lots more than usual so I put my headaches down to them , maybe there not to blame.

Re: Headaches at 37 weeks?

I am 23 weeks and noticed headaches this week myself. I was worried about my blood pressure but took it at home and it was fine. We are having a lot of heat and humidity where I live - as I know the rest of the country is as well. I am thinking it is from the heat?
