Is it normal to heavy bleeding in pregnancy? I know that some people have 'periods' during pregnancy but how heavy is it and how long does it last for?
I don't know how much is normal. I know some ladies have spotting. I have never had any type of bleeding during my pregnancy and I am currently 23 weeks.
Any bleeding/spotting should be discussed with your doc. Everyone is different, but I dont think heavy bleeding is normal. If you are bleeding heavy I would call now, or go to ER. Not to scare, but I wouldn't make that call on your own. Good Luck
I had complications in the beginning of my pregancy which caused me to blead heavily was told I had a threated miscarriage.I bleed spotted off and on till I was 15 or 16 weeks I am now 20 and my baby girl is fine.But call the doctor it could be a cause for concern.
good question I bleed pretty bad and like I mentioned until 15 or 16 weeks and in an ultrasound they could not even tell were I was bleeding from by cervix is closed and hard and I even wen tthorough bad contractions with e bleeding whe I was 6 weeks.
i'm almost 18 wks and i still have spotting on an off around the time i would normally have my af but so far the doctors aren't concerned as long as its not heavy or there is a lot of cramps
