Hi,

I am new to this site. I just officially found out that I am pregnant yesterday and I am anxiously awaiting my second beta result which is tomorrow. I had been ttc for 15 months and was always on the infertility board and couldn't wait until I could join this board. Hopefully everything will go smoothly with my pregnancy. Anyway, I have a quick question did anyone experience cramping after doing the BD with dh? I know that this is kind of a weird maybe inappropriate question but I had some pretty painful cramping for about 2 minutes and then it was gone. I didn't spot or anything so Im not that worried but Im wondering how long that lasts for. Anyway, sorry for the weird question.

Yes, for at least the first month and a half after I found out I was cramping severely everytime, usually for about half an hour or until I fell asleep. The doctor told me it was the effect of the prostoglandins in the sperm on the already distorting uterus and that unless I bled after intercourse there was nothing to worry about. And that was after I spotted during weeks 5 and 6! So I'd say you're probably safe, and it'll go away eventually. How long it lasts depends on how quickly you and your uterus get used to the whole pregnancy thing.
