When did you feel your baby move for the first time?
This question has probably been asked before but I've had a quick browse and I couldn't find the answer.
When did you feel your baby move for the first time? I am 13.5 weeks now and I haven't felt my baby at all.
I have been for my 12 week scan, the heart beat was detected and the baby was waving his/her arms and legs around all over the place but I still couldn't feel anything.
Re: When did you feel your baby move for the first time?
Are you a first time mom? Usually first time moms don't feel anything until the late teens early 20s weeks. I think I felt mine for the first time (for sure) around week 20. Your baby is so little that it's hard to feel much of anything this early.
Don't worry about it, before you know it she'll/he'll be moving so much you won't be able to sleep at night!
Re: When did you feel your baby move for the first time?
Odd that you couldn't find any threads about this, because there are a LOT of them....anyway, is this your first? Thirteen weeks is a little soon to actually feel anything, though you may start feeling little flutters soon that you may mistake for gas. Every woman/pregnancy is different....I didn't feel anything that I KNEW was the baby until I was 23 weeks.

I don't have the book next to me but I believe it said about 18 weeks is when you might start feeling the kicks. I was getting stressed because I didn't feel them kicking until about 21 weeks but I guess that's normal and my baby is fine. So if you don't feel it right away it ok.
Re: When did you feel your baby move for the first time?
This is my 3rd pregnancy and with this baby I felt it at 12 weeks, little tiny flutters and I'm sure a little head it just stayed in the one spot for awhile, I am thin and they say the thinner you are the more likely you can feel it, I am not mistaking this for wind etc, I am in tune to what is what that I'm feeling in my body, sometimes I can't feel anything and I think that is when it is asleep. I have read that at 12 weeks if you are thin you can start to feel the baby.
Re: When did you feel your baby move for the first time?
i was 16 weeks 5 days when i realised whati thought was gas was my ds lol. after that the movements kept getting bugger until my whole belly swayed and wriggled.
Re: When did you feel your baby move for the first time?
I am also a first time mom and I felt the first little flutter at 16 weeks. But I was really trying to get her to move. I layed down and poked at my belly. it worked. I was excited but not as excited when the doctor was listening to the heartbeat at 18 weeks 2 days and I felt the first real kick. So just hang in there you will feel your baby move soon enough. Then you can't get them to stop lol
