Re: do fetus' with down syndrome kick as much in womb?
Manchak -- Did I miss something??? Does your baby have down's??? We have friends with a 2.5 year old with mild Down's... he's the cutest thing in the world. So good natured.
Re: do fetus' with down syndrome kick as much in womb?
I just wanted to saythat my DD (7 months old now) was not veryactive in the womb at all. She had one or two short active periods a day (usually one) and she never kicked very hard at all. She would shift around every couple of days, but that was it. I passed on the quad screen as well, and she doesn't have downs. So if you're worried about that based on your baby's movements, as long as your ultrasounds have looked good, I wouldn't worry too much.

When I was pregnant, my ultrasounds showed downs "markers"... Flat nose bridge, large nuchal fold.. etc... I passed on all other testing, but went to a support group/class for information. Many mothers that have already given birth to a child with downs said they had little to no movement during the entire pregnancy.
