Icky discharge

So, I went in for my last apt., and told the OB that my discharge had a foul smell to it, almost like an "infection smell". It is also kinda itchy. (Sorry guys TMI, I know). She decided to do a Trichomonas test under the microscope using a swab of it, and she said she found nothing. She even sent it to the lab to be further checked, and they found nothin! I have had this since b4 I got pg, but I thought it was Trichomonas b4. Since they ruled it out, I am lost! But it worries me, b/c I don't want it to affect my baby! Anyone else have a very offense discharge??

Re: Icky discharge

Well, I had a pap, that she was waiting the results of. Maybe that would pick it up? I am not sure. I will ask her on Friday.....god willing everything is okay!

Thanks for the suggestion!

Re: Icky discharge

Maybe it's just a yeast infection!

In anycase, try wearing cotton panties--not the cute little things- like satin, silk or whatever! hehe I know, NOT sexy, but it might help it go away. Also, eat yogurt to help replenish the healthy flora/bacteria to get it back to balance. Also, if you wash with soap down there---it causes the pH balance to get thrown off---creating a foul musky smell amongst other things. My OB told me to just wash down there with warm water when showering as it should be sufficient enough--and guess what---it really works!! I know TMI! lol Also take into consideration the weather---eeeek! Great breeding ground for yuckie stuff!

There are a lot of little things you can do---hope these help!

Re: Icky discharge

Hey Hey! You're welcome!

Discharge is Ok and very normal during pregnancy as I experienced it too (had my little bean this June). But foul discharge is something that should be tended to! Hopefully your doc will give you a solid answer as to what it could be.

Hope at least one of these methods works for you!
