| Re: Using Diflucan While Pregnant
According to the FDA's website this is a category class C drug, meaning it probably shouldn't be used during pregnancy. But, in the studies they did on mice and rats, there weren't significant adverse reactions at normal dosing levels... only at extremely high doses. There have been no controlled studies on human women. There have been some reports of congenital abnormalities when women were taking high doses (400-800/mg/day) for 3 months or more. These women were taking the drug for a contraindicated use (off-label).
So, it sounds to be like there is no reason to freak out, but you might bring it up to your doctor so that he/she can check to see if there are any problems at your ultrasound.
Good luck!
