Re: First flutters and kicks

well first of all, all babies are a little different... but with my little girl, i first felt her at 16 weeks... it just felt like a little fist swimming around.. and i would feel her everyday like 3-4 times a day.

Re: First flutters and kicks

Is it possible to wake them up when they're sleeping?? I feel so bad, I think he's mad at me! LOL
I haven't felt him all day, so I went into the bathroom and started poking my belly them....POP! the hardest kick yet right by my bellybutton. It's been about 1/2 hour and I keep getting little popcorn pops, so I must have woke him up.
Poor baby, what a bad mommy I am

Re: First flutters and kicks

Everyone told me it would feel like butterflies but for me it never did--since week 14 its felt like a muscle spasm--like when your muscles move involuntarily. DH and I like to watch it every now and then--my abdomen just "pops." Don't worry, I do the same thing--I tap 3 or 4 times on my belly when she hasn't moved for a while and she jumps in response. We think it's so cool!

Re: First flutters and kicks

For me it was once every few days, because for a few weeks I wasn't even sure that it was a real kick, instead of just a muscle twitch. The other thing. With my second, I actually felt her a month later than I did with my first - I've always read that you are supposed to feel the baby earlier...

Re: First flutters and kicks

hehe I still poke my belly to get her to move around just to feel her move around or let my b/f feel it. I'm 32 weeks. I figured it was just getting her used to her daddy and our cats picking on her once she arrives. hehe. I think she sometimes does get mad about it though. she'll kick real hard or just get in a position where she's pushing out on my belly real hard. Something you have to look forward too. lol

Oh and once you start feeling them move/kick, you will gradually feel it more and more. It's amazing
