Low Fluid - 32 weeks

Hi Ladies,
I need some input. My sister is due on October 20. She went to the Dr yesterday & he told her that her fluid is low (7.7) normal is bet 8-20. When she was pregnant with my nephew her level dropped to 5 & she had to be induced 1 month early. I am very worried about her. Have any of you had experience with low fluid? Should she be on bed rest? She is attending a wedding this weekend & I think she sholuld stay home, but she thinks I am over reacting. Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Sweet

Re: Low Fluid - 32 weeks

Did they say why her fluid was low in the earlier pregnancy? I am curious because I had a problem where my bp was high one day and the Doctor sent me for an ultrasound to check the baby's growth and to check if the fluids were low. He was worried that my bp would cause preeclampsia or pregnancy induced hypertention and he said some signs were those two things. So what I was curious about was if your sister's Doctor may have been checking her for preeclampsia too. If that was the case than sometimes the only way to stop the problem is too deliver the baby early. That is what I read anyway.
