A little blood & cramping?!?!? Terrified, please help!
Okay, so I'm hoping someone who's had an m/c or spotting during pg can chime in here b/c I don't know what to think.
I'm 6w1d pg and for the past 2 days, every time I went to wipe after going to the bathroom, I noticed the slightest bit of pink color, very, very slight. But this morning, I saw just a little bit, very little bit of blood (red) when I went. And, I've been having some cramps, similar to the pulling cramps I've had, but more in the middle of my lower abs. I feel like something is wrong and I'm so scared.
My friend told me and I've read that some women spot in the early stages of pg, and this is normal. Why would some women spot & not others? What causes it? Could this be normal or should I worry? I'm suppose to go in to see the heartbeat at my next u/s on Tues. but I already left a message for the nurse at my clinic. Any thoughts?!?!?!

hi km
sorry you are stressed. i had a m/c before i had ds it started with bad period cramps then about 12 hours later i started to bleed with stringy clots tmi i never bled that heavy but via ultrasound it was found i had a m/c at 6 weeks gestation. bleeding in pg is never normal although it does not always mean m/c it is best to go get checked out in case there is a treatable cause. best wishes i do hope all is well for you. take care

I spotted at six weeks with my last baby. Then again at 17 weeks and again at 24 weeks. They never found a reason and he's now a happy, healthy three month old. I hope things turn out good for you. It's good you left a message with the nurse so they can check you out.

You did the right thing by calling your office about the spotting. Like moonstarlet said she had done, you should try. Try to sit with your feet and legs elevated. Avoid any heavy lifting or strenuous activities until your doctor has told you otherwise. Some women spot because of implantation bleeding. The cramps could be from your uterus expanding. I had cramps, without bleeding, starting at my fifth week and throughout the next few weeks. I'm 13 weeks today and once in a while still find myself getting mild cramps that go away after an hour and only come back about every two weeks. So, do your best to stay relaxed and think positive. I hope everything turns out right for you. Good luck!

Well, I haven't had any blood since and the cramping did subside. I am sooooo exhausted though. Haven't been able to do much of anything this weekend. Thank you for your posts. That was a very scary morning!! Hopefully, I won't have anymore like that!
