| possible miscarriage need thoughts and advice
i'm new to this so im not exactly sure how to do all of this. anyway 3 months ago, actually february 14, 2007 i got my last period which was very heavy with horrible clotting which lasted about 10 days. every month thereafter was light pink spotting. for the past week i have went from light pink spotting to light brown spotting to bleeding so much if i took a single step i had to change clothes. i went to the ER two nights ago because of this and the doctor said my pregnancy test turned out POSITIVE! me already having two babies at the age of 19, i was freaking out. he did blood tests a preg screen and an internal and external ultrasound. it showed absolutely nothing. he said that my pregnancy hormone level was very low and i was very early in the pregnancy so that would mean either i was far along, which i wasnt, and my hormone level had already stopped climbing or i was too early on and it had peaked and declined which meant miscarriage. he said that if i was having a miscarriage the ultrasound would show it and when he saw that there was nothing there, he was like "WOW!" he's really confused me. ive had severe back pains and abdomonal pains almost as bad as labor. the blood test showed no infection. he did a pelvic exam and said the cervix was closed. he suggests coming back in a few days for more blood work and possibly another exam and on my discharge papers he labels it as threatened miscarriage. i feel like i know this is a miscarriage because of all the stress im under and the lifting i do of my 40 lb children all day everyday. the bleeding is very heavy and there have been lots of clotting and some weird tissue that has some white in it. the question is, do you think this is def a miscarriage and if the ultrasound has come up clear of anything does that mean everything is already expelled? thanks a lot |
