Re: anyone have contractions at 22 weeks?

I started having them early too, before 20wks, sometimes they can be uncomfortable, but my doc told me they are simply braxton hix contractions and women get them at different times in their pregnancy. I'm over 30wks now and so far still good.

Re: anyone have contractions at 22 weeks?

I also started getting them pretty early, at 20-22 weeks I believe. I did have a time at around 26 weeks where they were WAY too frequent and I had to be hospitalized, but since that time, I have had no problems. I am 34.2 weeks now. I'm sure all will be fine.

Re: anyone have contractions at 22 weeks?

I started feeling them at 24 weeks with my daughter and she was born at the regular time (38 weeks, induced actually) and this time around I started feeling them at 18 weeks. Just stay hydrated and you should be fine!

Re: anyone have contractions at 22 weeks?

Are your contractions painful?
I started getting painless braxton hicks around 22 weeks, and this is my first pregnancy too. I did request a cervical check at my 24 week appointment (cause I'm a worrier) and everything was closed tight! I still get them, but I am 28w1d now and she is doing great and staying put!
As long as they are just braxton hicks it is completely normal!

Re: anyone have contractions at 22 weeks?

I actually went to the er last night because I was having them so frequent and it felt just like when I was in labor with my first. They were so painful! But I was checked out and everything was fine they went away about a half hour after I went in. I'm 20 weeks now. The doc said it was braxton hicks and that I was dehydrated. So drink plenty of fluids!! They should go away after drinking plenty of water and laying down if they are braxton hicks.
