For the past three days, every time I eat something, even the tiniest thing, my stomach gets upset and I have loose bowels. I hardly have an appetite and am eating very little to prevent my stomach from being upset but I'm guessing that's not good for me or baby, but I don't know what else to do. It doesn't help that I had a thrombosed hemmorhoid, and these bouts of loose bowels have totally aggravated it so I'm also in pain.
Has anyone else experienced this issue in late pregnancy and do you know why it happens? Is it the baby pushing on my bowels? Is it hormones? Help!
This happened to me the night my water broke. I couldn't go to the hospital cause I couldn't stop going to the bathroom. We made it though, in plenty of time...!
Yep, I have also heard it's a sign of labor approaching! My sister told me this happened to her with both her pregnancies near the end (though she had scheduled C-sections both times and never did go into labor naturally). Supposedly, it's very common as the body starts to prepare itself for labor & delivery.
i've read it is a sign of labor too and i always thought that would be great to empty out at home because then when i am pushing on the table i won't have much to poop out at the nurses. i am sure they'll be happy too.
Wow, no kidding - so it sounds unamimously like it's a sign of upcoming labor?? Any ideas on how long it takes to go into labor after this starts?? I was just wondering b/c I'm scheduled for a C-section next week and now I'm wondering if I should go in this week instead? I'd rather not go into labor before the scheduled date!
