Mucus Plug???
So I'm 36.5 weeks pregant and I just went to the bathroom and there was some mucussy stuff only about the size of a nickle though and when I wiped there was pink tinged mucus. I have been really crampy last night and all morning. Do you think this is the begining of my mucus plug? or my mucus plug? Because it is also called "bloody show" I was expecting a whole lot more.
Any comments. if it is I'm excited because I guess that means things are progressing...even though I know it could still be weeks.

Yup, it very well could be that. I didn't have very much blood when I lost mine with my other 3 children as well. I did have more than a nickle size though so do be alarmed if you have more. Good luck

hello, by the time you read this you may already be welcoming your little one to the world!! granted, mine was 21 yrs ago, but i will never forget it...when i went to the bathroom and wiped, there was lots of mucusy, thick, snotty stuff but actually very little blood, just tinged. My dr. said that after that, labor usually begins within 24-48 hrs. and sure enough that evening i began having crampy feelings in my back and my beautiful baby boy was born the next morning. brings tears to my eyes after 21 yrs...what a wonderful journey you are beginning...thank you for letting me share this one moment with you!!! best of luck...

Hi Desmaggie! Its getting so exciting now! I was just wondering if you have been checked yet to see if you have started dilating at all? I am only at 1cm and Im 37 weeks today, but I have noticed alot more of the mucusy discharge over the past week or so. After my internal I had discharge with a tiny amount of blood mixed in with it. So just curious if you had been checked cause sometimes that can cause a little bit of bleeding, I think sex too can cause a little bit if your cervix is starting to soften and thin out. All good signs we may not be too far from holding out little ones!!
