I've noticed that I have these white bumps (almost pimple/blister looking) around my nipples on my areola. They don't hurt or anything but I'm jut not sure what they are or if its normal to them. I don't go to the dr. for another week so any input would be helpful. Thanks!
I had these with dd. I noticed them for the first time sometime between 22 weeks and 26 weeks I believe. They were little white dots, I remember I had 3 of them around each nipple. I asked my doctor and he said they were to do with my body getting ready to produce colostrum, and sure enough about 3 days after I talked to my doctor (about 5 or 7 days after I first noticed them) I had my first small amount (about 3 drops) of colostrum.
I also had the same with dd. I started noticing the white dots at about 13 weeks, and the colostrum followed about 1 week later. Went on like that all the way to the end of my pregnancy. Still good to mention to your doc, but nothing to worry about...
Yes, I agree.... your boobies are getting ready for milk production Very normal. Don't be surprised if the areola gets bigger, darker and you get little nerve pain as well. All normal too. Good luck and congrats on your pregnancy
