Hi Everyone! I just thought I would share my brith story while I have a few mins!

Joshua Russell was born at 12:25 on 4-15-08, 10 days past due via c-section. He was 7lb 10.4oz 20 1/2 inches.
I went in at 10am and was started on the monitors. Baby was doing good, we were scheduled for a c/s because I wasn't dilated and was over due. Not sure why doctor wouldn't induce me. They waiting until about 15 mins before c/s to give me the catheter. It caused a ton of pain burning and discomfort where I told the nurse and she said it was normal. I said it made me feel like I had to pee and she said relax and just go if you have to. So I did and then I felt a gush like I had peed on my self. Sure enough something was wrong with the catheter and they took it out where they told me the gush was my water breaking. At this point they said they would wait to put the catheter in when id been given the spinal. The doctor arrived checked my water that they thought had broke and he said I was dilated to a 2 so I could go natural if I wanted. I said yes since I really wanted to go natural anyways. They he proceded to break my water just incase it wasn't what had broke. It hadn't broke before and when he broke my water it came out with meconium so he said they had to do the c/s. They rushed me in and kept the monitor on him. I was so paniced by this time I just wanted him out so the spinal i didn't even feel. Before I knew it DH was with me and they pulled him out at 12:25. We both cried when we heard him crying. It was the best sound in the world and I would do it all over again for him. Both of us are doing fine. As of his 1st check up he is over his birth weight by 1oz at onc week old! The nurses said he was born to breastfeed and he is a good eater.
