Savannah is here.... As you all know that my doctor stripped my membranes last Monday. Well, Monday afternoon I had been cramping but then they stopped. Tuesday I felt fine, nothing out of the ordinary. Hubby and I had sex to "try" to get things moving. Within an hour I started cramping again but they were all over the place. About two hour later I started having contractions about every 8-10 minutes. We decided to go to the hospital and I was 3 cm so they made me walk for an hour and that didn't really help to get things going faster but my doctor decided to keep me over night and induce in the morning. Well, they gave me a sleep aide and a pain killer and off to dream land I went. The morning of Wednesday they gave me pitocin at 5:30AM and I had my epidural around 7:45AM. I kid you not I slept almost the whole morning and at around 12:20PM the nurse checked me and I was 6cm she came back in about five mintues later and said to change positions because the heartbeat was falling. She came BACK in and made me change onto my left side and I felt this pressure in my bottom. So she checked me again and I was 10cm and the head was almost out. I gave two pushes and Savannah was born at 12:57PM. This by far was the easiest delivery for me. I had some problem getting my right side to wake up from the epidural and since then I have had a horrible side pain on my right.
She is perfect and is a very happy baby. Only cries to eat and is a great burper!
