Is it ok to lose weight in the first trimester? I've had such food aversions and felt nautious that I haven't even wanted to eat much. I've been getting in regular nutrition, but have lost about 5 lbs. Is this ok?
Not having much of an appetite and food adversions is definitely normal, especially feeling nauseous. Have you actually been vomiting or just feel like you could? I know loosing weight is normal in some cases, particularly those were you're actually not able to keep food down. It is great that you are getting in nutritious foods when you can but only your doctor will be able to tell you whether you should be concerned with your weight loss. Good luck!
usually weight loss isn't necessarily bad unless it's a significant amount of weight. if you continue to lose weight, dr's will likely monitor you to ensure that the baby is growing as it should be. Basically what it comes down to is if your baby is thriving...
I am 22weeks and lost almost 15lbs and my dr isn't worried at all. The baby is growing and seems to be fine. It is normal to lose weight if you are having alot of morning sickness like I still have at times. Food still doesn't look smell or taste good to me now.

Maybe TTC #3 if it's ment to be ok if not ok not stressing this time. :-)
i had mono during my first trimester and lost 11 pounds. it was fine for the baby but bad for me as i was already a little underweight to begin with. i got real weak from it but my baby was fine and im 27 wks and hes still fine so i wouldnt worry
Totallly normal, totally fine. Your body is the one that suffers. Because of the increase in hormones, your digestive system slows right down to insure that the baby gets every possible vitamin and nutrient possible. I have lost weight at times because I was eating healthier.
Try to keep up on the prenatals. If they bother you, try taking them before bed. If they still bother you talk with your OB. They have samples in office that are specific for women with severe nausea and vomiting. Good luck and congrats
