what can i take

i think i might have a sinus infection,cold/cough, or bronchitis. im not sure which one. i feel stuffy but nothing comes out, i have alot of pressure in my head with a light headache and ive been coughing and sometimes it hurts a little if i open my mouth and take a deep breath, and im really fatigued. does anyone know what i can take for this? my dr is on vacation this week and when i called the office the person i talked to said i would have to go to my family dr because they cant recommend stuff without a drs consent, i guess the nurses are out too. well i dont have a family doctor as i was in the process of finding one when i got pregnant and so i just found my ob instead. i really dont want to go sit at the emergency room for 4 hours just so they can tell me what kind of medicine i can take. i took a tylenol for my headache but that doesnt help with the cough or congestion. ill try anything that is safe, i dont wanna feel even more wiped out then i already do from pregnancy, so any suggestions would really help

Re: what can i take

Careful with the sudafed, it can slightly raise blood pressure. Tylenol is generally considered very safe, even in pregnancy.

Re: what can i take

My dr. said that Tylenol products are ok, as are any cough medicines in the DM formula (which is the one for cough only).

Re: what can i take

Why no alternatives to drugs? You are sick because may be deficient in vitamins and minerals that keep the body strong=immune system among other things. They are the tools the bodies need to fight these infections off. You need to take a lot of vitamin C, get plenty of rest and if you have lavendar or eucalyptus oil, add some to a warm bath, they are naturally antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal. Make sure you eat or drink some probiotic yogurt and drink a lot of water, even add some fresh squeezed lemon to it. The water will help flush the body. Do a search on how to naturally strengthen the immune system. The tylenol, sudafed are chemically laden and they do not fix what you have, they only suppress what you are feeling and deposit chemicals into your body at the same time, it is not worth it.
I can stop a cold or flu virus within 24 hours and I have a two year old daughter who has literally never been sick in her life, including colds, runny nose, etc. It works, you have to research on how to naturally maintain a healthy immune system.

Re: what can i take

No problem, just do the internet search, you will find tons of tips. I started to change when I became pregnant and how I only use natural means to cure sickness and stay healthy and it works, my daughter is living prrof in my opinion. She goes to playdates and had little freinds and she is never sick. Her 19 month old freind often gets fevers, runny noses, etc. and Alexa does not. I also give her liquid echinacea to boost her immune system.
