35 week ultrasound

I had my ultrasound yesterday when I was 35 week and 1 day.
Everything seemed fine but the technician said the baby's head was measuring a bit more at 36 week 4 days. We asked the doctor about it and he said he is not concerned because everything seemed normal in the 20 week anatomy scan. Anyway he asked us to repeat the ultrasound after 3 weeks.
The baby's weight was 6lbs at 35 weeks. Is this a normal weight? What I read says 5lbs is normal for 35 weeks.
I am very much worried.Need some reassurance.

Re: 35 week ultrasound

i wouldnt listen to "normal" weight. every baby is different and no pregnancy is the same. average weight for a newborn is 7.5 pounds but there are babies born at term that are 5 pounds and some that are 12 pounds and those babies are perfectly healthy and normal. as long as the dr says everything is ok then its ok. also them saying 6 pounds is just an estimate and could be totally off. my friends baby was estimated to be over 10 pounds and she was 5 pounds 13 ounces so i wouldnt worry about it as long as it looks healthy.
