Leaving for a 9 hour trip tomorrow!

My DH and I are leaving for our vacation tomorrow and we're actually taking a comfortable bus. I'm nervous about traveling mainly because ill be out of state away from my doctor. I read some things in my pregnancy book that says being on trips for more than 3 hours I should wear support hose. I'm also a little nervous because of having to pee so much and it being a public bus =( also im not sure how often we'll stop for food so I'll be packing plenty of snacks. Haha, leave it to the pregnant woman to be worried about stops for food =) I was just wondering if anyone had any tips or suggestions I won't be able to stretch or move around much for those 9hours, then its almost another hour trip from the bus stop to my moms. What can I do to have a decently comfortable trip?!

Re: Leaving for a 9 hour trip tomorrow!

How far along are you? We moved across the country when I was seven months and it took two days and I drove half of the time and the trip was fine and I wasn't uncomfortable. Just shift your body around to make yourself comfortable or bring a pillow for your back and plenty of snacks like you already mentioned. You will be fine.

Re: Leaving for a 9 hour trip tomorrow!

I recently went on a 10 hour car ride. The thing that really helped was getting out and walking every 2-3 hours. I would walk around, go to the bathroom, and stretch. I also think it helped that I drove most of the way, but since you are going on a bus, just remember to keep good posture.
