Bellybutton Question

Ok this might seem a little silly but I was wondering when my innie bellybutton will pop out and become a outtie. This happened to me while pregnant with ds so I am assuming it will happen again but I can't remember at what point it happened. What have been your experiences with this? Also I remember it being pretty uncomfortable because it would rub on my shirts and kind of get irritated what can I do to help that? TIA!

Re: Bellybutton Question

I really can't say when it will happen the second time around. Mine popped out during my first pregnancy and never had a chance to fully go back in. I got pregnant when my daughter was six months, so it's pretty much stayed the same!!!! I hope it eventually goes back in after this pregnancy though. My daughter thinks it's funny to push on it when she sees it and it's really uncomfortable and weird feeling!!!

Re: Bellybutton Question

I've read that belly button rings are safe to stay in thru pg as long as it does not go thru both sides. I am not sure how comfy it would be though. I am wondering about the bellybutton pop too. I am heavy, so my bellybutton is very far in since i have so much padding around it. However, right now I can tell that my bellybutton is not as far back anymore. When does the bellybutton usually pop anyways?

Re: Bellybutton Question

im 29 wks and mine is really shallow now but not fully popped. i think it probably has something to do with how deep your belly button was to begin with. mine went in really far to where i couldnt really see the back of it but now its getting pretty close to the surface. as for the belly ring thing i took mine out at about 23 wks i wanted to give it a chance to close and heal up before it started stretching too much and got uncomfortable.

Re: Bellybutton Question

I took mine belly button ring out before my first pregnancy and it was a good thing. I don't see how it would work after your belly button pops out. Fortunately, it doesn't happen to everyone. My best friend is pregnant with her second and she still has an innie. Lucky her. Sometimes I have to put a bandaid over mine because it pops out so much that you can see it through certain shirts and it looks stupid. I feel like a turkey with a timer in it!!!!

Re: Bellybutton Question

With my first pregnancy, mine didn't pop either. It became extremely shallow though, and depending on how the baby was laying, it was sometimes almost completely flat. Mine is pretty deep to begin with though, however I got really big with ds because I'm relatively short, so the only place he had to go, was out!
