Bf and "my doctor"

I was told that i had the sickle cell trait and that my bf had to be tested for it as well. Would my doctor be able to give him a order to be tested or should he go to his own doctor and get an order to be tested. I was thinking that any doctor would be able to get an order for you for something as simple as a blood test u know because my doctor is the one that needs to know. What do you all think?

Re: Bf and "my doctor"

Hi Sweetest,

I think your dr would be able to order the test for your BF. When we were trying to get pg & not having any success, my dr ordered a semen analysis for my BF. It seems to make sense to me that your dr would be able to order this for your BF considering the results might affect the baby. You could always call & ask about it.

Good luck!!

Re: Bf and "my doctor"

My best friend carries the cystic fibrosis gene. Her OB ordered her BF to be tested as well, so I thinking since your OB is the one who needs to know that they'd be able to give him the order. Good luck!!!
