As long as your doctor says it is OK, you should always check with them before starting a new exercise. However, swimming and walking were the two that my doctor recommended I do! Hope that helps.
I agree with Tiffany. Maybe call your doctor just to double check, but my ob suggested that I swim to help with my lower back pain in my first pregnancy, and I was told by several people it is great exercise when you're pregnant. I don't know if the IVF would make a difference, I wouldn't think so.
Hi Asileen I am currently about 10 weeks pregnant through IUI with twins and my OB told me its ok to swim but I shouldent sit in my wet suit afterward I should change right away. But like the girls said the best thing is to ask your OB.Congrats.
Congratulations aisleen & eva on your pregnancies!!!! I too am pg with IVF. Dr. said swimming was fine.
Swimming sounds so good to me right now, I don't really have access to a pool, bummer. Good luck with your little miracle. I'm now 27 wks and he is moving so much. It goes by fast, try to cherish every day.
I'm 38.5 weeks and have been swimming at least three times a week for the past two weeks since the local pool opened. I love it. I swim laps, very slowly, and then tan on the benches until I'm dry. It takes forever for the maternity suits to dry--all that extra fabric. The DR said it was fine for me to swim. And I remember reading somewhere that it helps reduce swelling too. Something about the pressure of the water on the legs.
