Baby is getting big

I requested a copy of my ultrasound from june28th and i read that the baby measured about 3lbs 5 oz. Im not sure how to read all the other information but when i go to my appt on the 15th i will ask the doc to explain it to me. Is this normal weight for baby at this stage? im 31weeks now.

Re: Baby is getting big

I looked up average fetal weight and found a chart and what it says is at 31weeks average is 3.31lbs I had a ultrasound too check growth 7/7 at 24 weeks and mine was 1.5lbs and average then is 1.32lbs so going by that I would say that both our babies seem to be right on track.
Also all the charts I have looked at goes with the average baby weight at 40weeks being 7.63lbs. So by the charts my DS us low birth weight he was only 7lbs and I was 42 weeks when they induced.
Hope this helps.

Re: Baby is getting big

Oh yes both your responses really helps it eases my mind to know that all our babies are on track and we only have a little time left so lets hope it stay that way. Only one other problem though. When the babies weight go up i get happy and excited...but then i stop and think that my weight is also going up but it seems like for example you weigh 180 and your baby comes out 10 lbs and after delivery you weight only 4 pounds less.. Whats up with that?
