Called doctor's office to get results from the Glucose test and she told me it was abnormal and that she would send me a referral to a diabetes specialist. I get that but i thought if you fail the 1 hour you must take the three hour and that will tell for sure the results. Or maybe the 1 hour was just that bad. What do you guys think? Should i call to ask can i take the 3 hour of should i go directly to the specialist?
i would call and see if they are gonna have you do the 3 hr. when the dr called to tell me i failed i had to set up the 3 hr which i went for today. it actually wasnt nearly as bad as i thought it was going to be. ask them what your number was. mine was 172 and they said they do the 3 hr for anything above 135 but i guess it may be different where you go. i have heard of people having 1 hr results that were so high they didnt need to do the 3 hr to determine if there was diabetes but i would think they would have told you if it was something like that.
when I did my 1hr they knew I failed right there at 168 and set up for me to do the 3hr a few days later.
If if was me I would call the dr back and find out what your numbers was and ask about the 3 hr test.

I think you guys are right i should be getting a 3 hr test i go formy next appt tuesday so i will ask my number and follow up with that. Im 32 weeks today yaaay!!!! Imgetting nervous though.
i hope everythings ok. i should be getting my 3 hr results today and i am sooo scared of what they are going to say. hopefully neither one of us have it
For me, I failed the 1 hour test so badly I didn't have to even do the 3 hour test. They sent me directly to a diabeties specialist/dietician to start to manage my diet.
