is amniotic fluid sticky when it dries? i read somewhere that its sticky but regular discharge can be a little sticky too so im just a little confused on how i will be able to tell the difference between discharge and a fluid leak. now that im getting closer to the baby being born i want to make sure i know all this stuff.

I would check with your ob/gyn. Are your appts weekly or biweekly yet?

they are bi-weekly for now til 36 wks then i will go every week til 37-38 wks when im induced. im 33 wks now. i dont think im leaking or anything i just want to be able to tell if i do start so i will know its not just discharge and that baby will be here soon

I can't remember if I read it before, but why are you being induced? Just curious. Oh wait, is it because of the GD?

yeah they werent going to induce if i could control it with just my diet but it didnt work and i had to be put on insulin so now they are taking him early just to be safe

My water leaked with my first and it was not sticky at all. It feels more like you went the bathroom in your pants and I was only leaking a little bit when you sit for awile and then stand you can feel fluid coming out. I hope that helps a little
