dilating

when does the dr start checking you to see if you are dialated? im 34 wks and go tomorrow and was just wondering if he will check yet or if its too early.

They start doing checks @ your 36th week appointment.

I remember my doctor checking me at my 37th week. They won't do it too early because of the risk of infection. Don't worry. You really don't have that much longer. When it happens, it'll go by before you know it. I can't believe my daughter is a year! Good luck!

My OB starts checking at 36 weeks also.

If you are having BH contractions, she should check you earlier. But if not, they should start checking around 36 weeks.

i have a lot of BH. actually im having one right now and it hurts!! i hate those things! i never knew until i got pregnant that you get contractions before labor too

My doctor said that when i go tomorrow she will do an exam. I will be 36 weeks friday and i have all these thoughts in my head like: I wonder is baby in the position yet or if im dilated or effaced? I hope everything is ok though i get nervous and i have been questioning my bp as well one day i woke up my nose was bleeding and i started to get worried about if my blood pressure had gone up. But i'll find out tomorrow.

ive been worried a lot about bp too since with gd your more likely to get preeclampsia but so far its been good and im hoping its good today im about to go to my appt here in 30 minutes. my nose bleeds all the time and it has ever since i got pregnant. i read its normal that with the increased blood flow this happens a lot
