I was prescribed this before I found out I was pregnant for ulcer pain and acid reflex. When I told my doctor I was having bad heartburn/acid he said to take the prilosec was fine just not on a daily basis and strictly as needed. I'm still kinda concerned though. Has anyone else taken this?
I have! I am currently 31 weeks pregnant with twins. Will be 32 on sunday. My doctor told me to take that also as needed...the problem with me is that it wasn't strong enough for me so now I am on zantac...which isn't working either...hopefully I get can on some nexium which worked well in my first pregnancy. But yes...prilosec is completely fine...at least thats what my doctor and perintologist say also.
i was having very bad heartburn/acid indigestion. i called the doctor and they told me to take Zantac, it worked like a charm. its good because you can take it to prevent and relieve.
I was prescribed and take Zantac twice a day. If you want to take it more often I'd check with your doctor first. You can take Tums along with it for added relief, although it works so well for me I haven't had to do that.
