Anyone know of anyone's baby who's lungs weren't developed at 37.5 weeks or so?

I am anxiously awaiting the results of my amnio to find out whether or not my baby's lungs are developed. If they are, I'm having my c-section tomorrow. Does anyone know of anyone who's had their baby that early and their lungs weren't "ready". I'm so excited for tomorrow but don't want to be let down when they say he not ready!

Re: Anyone know of anyone's baby who's lungs weren't developed at 37.5 weeks or so?

My son was born at 35 weeks and had no problems with his lungs. At 37 weeks a baby is considered to be full term and should not have problems at all.

Good luck

My first two were born early at 33 weeks and there lungs were developed, so you should be fine. I would think. Good luck no matter what happens
