for the past idk week or so i have been having alot of thick white discharge and mild cramping.. no pain when i pee or anything else indicating infection... i had an apt on tuesday and the doc told me as long as it isnt persistant.. i dont gett anything when i relax but working or walking alot it happens. now it hasnt been alot up until now but working today i was so uncomfortable from being wet and by the time i got home the whole front of my undies were wet, and its not white now it was mostly watery with brownish mixed in. im 16 wks 5 days pg. should i be concerned or is this normal? thanks in advance guys!
I have this same problem and I am 35 1/2 weeks. However, it's never been brownish. I am not sure about that. An increase in discharge is definitely normal though. I have had it throughout both of my pregnancies. If you are concerned about the color though, just give your doc a call and they can let you know for sure.

Lost- I recently had the same concern. I called my drs. office and they said the only way you can tell for sure is to come and get checked. They admitted me to Labor and Delivery and after checking the fluid with a microscope, doing a urine check and ultrasound, we found out it was just normal discharge. However, my dr. was glad I took the initiative to call and get it checked out. He said that leaking fluid is serious and it is best to be safe! My advice is to call back and see if they could check you.
Flagyl (also known as metronidazole) is usually used to treat bacteria infections, totally safe to use while pregnant especially if it's your own doctor's office that prescribed it. good luck and get better soon! About 2-3 days after you complete your last medication, if you dont feel like its completely cleared up, go back to your doctor for a follow up, they may need to give you another dose. good luck!
