thank you! you see I just found out that I am pregnant. I went to the dr and they did a vaginal and said my uterus wasn't enlarged and my HCG levels are at 106, which would mean I am only about 1-2 weeks pregnant. But my last period was July 14. It is confusing because I have PCOS and my periods are never on time or regular. So I am a nervous wreck. I have to go for more blood work today to see if the HCG has doubled since Tues. I am also 43 so I am really nervous right now.
your uterus is still probably the size of a pear. that's the size that it is when you are not pregnant. by the time you are about 8 weeks or so it'll be the size of a grapefruit. i've been wondering how big my uterus is now that i'm 14 weeks. i dont know any more fruite analogies congrats on the pregnancy!
afausset- try going to a pregnancy website. There you can enter your e mail address and get weekly updates on how your pregnancy should be going and how and when your uterus enlarges along with all the thing you may have known and may have never know about being pregnant. These have really helped me and im now 37 weeks will be 38 tomorrow. Goodluck with your pregnancy!

My favorite pregnancy book is Your Pregnancy Week by Week. Instead of a monthly format, it goes by each week. It tells you what is going on with baby, what is changing with your body and tons of other pregnancy related issues. It's a great book as well!

Yeah but I love to read, so I like the books the best. I have What to Expect also....I just found that I like Your Pregnancy a little better for some reason. Every is different I guess.

Well, my HCG levels went up to 198 from 106 and the dr was happy with that, she said I am about 2 weeks pregnant. So now it is another waiting game until I am far enough for them ot do an U/S.
