Stomach feels bruised

For the past few days mainly my entire tummy area feels like a bruise. When I touch it or stretch or when the baby kicks it all just feels like im bruised from my ribcage below my bellybutton. Is this just pain from my stomach stretching or from all the babies kicks or could it be something to ask my doctor about? I'm 26 weeks if that helps at all.

Re: Stomach feels bruised

i would guess its a combination of kicking and stretching. the area right below my right breast is where my baby LOVES to kick and the other night everytime he would move it just hurt so bad i was in tears. i was begging him to pick a different spot. i seriously thought he broke a bone. finally after a couple hours he stopped but its still a little sore. i started having rib pain at 18 wks and thought it was a gallbladder condition but my dr said it was just stretching. unfortunately it gets worse as the baby gets bigger but there isnt anything you can do about it but tough it out.
