im 41 weeks ,i had my membranes swept yesterday,and started losing my mucus plug last night and lost more this afternoon, doc said im 90% effaced and about 1 cm dialated..any idea how long? this is my first baby .
You sound very similar to me when I had my baby last year; although, I had my baby at 40 weeks. I would venture to say that you should start having some contractions very soon - within the next few days or so. Every baby is different. Just know that you won't be pregnant forever and your little one will be here soon! I wish you a safe and healthy delivery!
My best friend had her membranes stripped with her first baby and her water broke the next day. Hopefully it will be soon, I am sure you are ready to have your baby!!! Good luck.

oooh, i feel for you! i had my first at 41 weeks too. the wait was just awful (we were also trying to have her before Christmas!)! i really started to think that the baby was just camped out and never leaving! she finally came out at exactly 41 weeks, two days after my membranes were stripped. be patient (so much easier said than done, i know!) and know that as the others said, you won't be pregnant forever! hopefully it will happen soon! good luck!
