Keeping the anxiety down

I'm on my way to talk with my dad and his doctor in this hospital. Are there any breathing techniques or mental techniques to keep my heart rate down so it doesn't upset my little one?

I would suggest slow, deep breaths that are consistent and focused. The key is to move oxygen throughout the body and you do that through breathing, and sitting / lying down if possible.
