Braxton Hicks?

Okay, I know there have been threads about this before, but I'm still confused.

I'm a few days shy of 30 weeks pregnant, & up until today, I don't think I have ever felt a BH contraction. In fact, I'm not even sure if that is what I'm feeling now. I just feel weird.

My belly is harder than usual & there is pressure, but I don't know if I would call it a tightening or not. I just know it doesn't feel good. Also, the sensation is higher up than I would expect to feel it. Should it be low down in my belly or can it also be up top?

Any ideas?

TIA,
Holly

Re: Braxton Hicks?

sounds like BH.
I had them for a while before I realized that is what it was. Very tight, hard and yes, it was up top. Sometimes I would have to sit down.
Good Luck!!

Re: Braxton Hicks?

Thank you for the response! It continued throughout the day & then stopped once I got home & rested. I wonder if I need to drink more water. I've heard that can relieve them. Guess my body is getting ready!

Re: Braxton Hicks?

I've been wondering about this too! I get cramps, like menstral cramps. I get them lower, and everything I hear and read, say that BH happen higher up. So, I am not sure if they are BH or something else.

Re: Braxton Hicks?

i suggest you go the hospital and get a scan as my sister-in-law had ur symptons and it was too much fluid, she started with the same as you at 30 weeks,

Re: Braxton Hicks?

Thanks for the input. Was your sister & her baby okay? I actually haven't felt anything similar to what I explained since the day I posted. I'm honestly wondering if it wasn't just a bunch of gas build up. Either way, I'll definitely be continuing to pay close attention to what I'm feeling!
